The Dülon Paradis Project

Maria Theresia von Paradis was born in Vienna, Austria on May 15, 1759. She was very talented singer and pianist travelling throughout Europe , as well as composing Lieder, Opera, Piano works and more. She opened a music school in Vienna for girls and was consulted with by Valentin Haüy as he worked on opening the first school for the Blind in Paris. von Paradis died on February 1, 1824.
Although von Paradis and Dülon were not in the same place at the same time very often they would have known of each other, I would hope! Chris and I had fun talking about what if they met and Chris wrote a wonderful story about that. Well, we have had another idea for a story and Chris is wordsmithing the idea as I write this! Watch here for more information about it!
Fun fact about Maria Theresia , she was named after the Empress Maria Theresia for whom her father worked. The Empress lived in the Schönbrunn Palace (pic below) and von Paradis was baptized in its chapel.
